Path to success

They’re just finished building a pathway outside my apartment building, ready for when the monsoon season starts and the floodwaters once again imperil public safety. I think there may have been an error in the blueprint, however.

Hymn to Hyman Bloom

Another of my university art-course efforts, but this one’s a copy, from Hyman Bloom’s “Old Woman Dreaming”. I just saw the picture in a book and went at it with charcoal, and it wasn’t until this here blog came along that I made the effort to find out who the hell Hyman Bloom is. Click the image to see it full size. See the rest.

Choo choo, express thyself

“You can really get involved with Dali’s art,” I said to the wife the other day. Then I turned around to find her gone, and I was alone – almost – in a train station in the middle of nowhere. I checked the clock on the wall and realised I was a full year early for “The Persistence of Memory”, yet here was a soft watch already in use, in 1930! The scene was “Premature Ossification of a Railway Station”, and I had no way of getting home … unless my old friend Hyman Bloom showed up!

“Puff”

Another of my high-school epileptic fits. No, really, it’s a portrait of the vice principal. I attended high school back on the planet Vulcan. Oh, you too? What year? Click the image to see it full size.

“Wake-up Call”

More freaky fun from the Fractal Farm. No, I can’t figure out the title either.
