Dallying with Dali
The citizens of Dorseyland have an affinity for surrealism to begin with, so building them a Dali House where they could play seemed a logical phase in the state’s development. I’m grateful for the inspiration provided via the Internet by the two websites dedicated to Salvador Felipe Jacinto Dalí that are listed in the Links at the left side of the page. One of them welcomes visitors with a marvellous quote from the master: “Every morning when I wake up, I experience an exquisite joy – the joy of being Salvador Dalí – and I ask myself in rapture: What wonderful things this Salvador Dalí is going to accomplish today?”
Before the Internet, of course, I had to be satisfied with the occasional perusal of large library books to get a proper appreciation of his work. Thanks to the new access afforded online, I have all the time in the world, day by day by day, and memory need no longer be as persistent as it was in Salvador’s era.
