Travels with JMW Turner, part 2

Farnley Hall
JMW undertook several tours of northern England beginning in autumn 1797, and from 1808 into the ’20s, Farnley Hall was his his chief base of operations, thanks to the friendship and patronage of its owner, Walter Fawkes.
He became close to the Fawkes family (though not cousin Guy, gone two centuries already) and had a room always reserved for him here. See the rest.
