In 1955 Time magazine asked a prominent theologian what he thought of Salvador Dalí’s new painting “The Sacrament of the Last Supper”. It’s “junk”, Paul Tillich replied. The Time reporter phoned Dalí in Spain for a reaction, but the line was bad.
